IGI Cameroon Engages Commonwealth Anti-Corruption Leaders to Drive Governance Innovation

Bringing together anti-corruption leaders, governance experts, parliamentarians, and international partners from across the Commonwealth, the conference served as an important platform for advancing dialogue on anti-corruption innovation, cooperation and exchange of  institutional best practices  and the role of emerging technologies in strengthening transparency and accountability across Africa.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mrs Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam Ngwari, Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of the Supreme State Audit (CONSUPE), representing the Head of State, with keynote interventions from representatives of Cameroon’s Parliamentary Network Against Corruption (APNAC), Dr Roger Koranteng, Head of Public Sector Governance at the Commonwealth Secretariat, and Mr Leonard Lekgetho, Chairperson of the Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Commonwealth Africa and Acting Head of South Africa’s Special Investigating Unit.

On the margins of the conference, IGI also participated in the reception hosted by the British High Commission in Cameroon at the residence of the British High Commissioner, providing a valuable opportunity to engage governance leaders, diplomatic partners, and stakeholders on future collaboration to advance governance reform, integrity, and anti-corruption efforts in Cameroon and across the region.
